Savior

Standing on the shores of life
Waves of dreams crashing down over me
Engulfing all that I am…
A salty taste fills my mouth
I gasp for air,
Suddenly my lungs fill with mixed emotions
My breath escapes me
As did the joy I once felt
Cold and wet I stand alone,
Watching and waiting for you
I stand alone,
Suddenly my pain is at ease
With the sound of your voice
Thank you for saving me…
