Saving Me

Saving Me

Slipping in the silence
of the quiet of my mind.
Clinging to a shred of hope
for the peace that I can't find.

Drowning in the darkness
of my imagination.
Struggling with just giving up
being my greatest temptation.

When You come through the shadows
gathering like the night.
Bringing me salvation
and bringing me Your light.

Saving me from dangers
I feel but I can't see.
Shining through the blackness
saving me from me.

The Master of the universe
the calmer of the storm.
Each time my heart is broken
You keep me safe and warm.

The Hero of the ages
the giver of my sight.
The savior of my spirit
Oh God You are my light.

The lily of the valley
the One that calmed the sea.
The lifter of my spirit
that's saving me from me.
