Saturday Rain

Falling from the sky
Individual and free
Raindrops soak and cover
Every leaf and tree.

Cleansing the earth
With every drop
Quenching the thirsts
Of animals and crops.

Restoring nature once again
All the rivers, lakes and streams
Diminishing as the sun peers
From the clouds as rainbow colors gleam.

This is Saturday rain
And that it is for today
As soon it will come again
Maybe another Saturday.
