Saturday

Waiting for Saturday can sure be tough
The road is bumpy and the waves are rough
Now that it’s here relieved there’s no delay
I’m just a little boy ready to go out and play
Soon leaving my anxieties up on the hook
In exchange for the calm I often overlook
A day without worry sure brings me fun
Especially while focusing only on the sun
As the sun’s rays relax my hardened chest
My ears hear the waves and eyes see the crest
Monday is never on my mind at all today
I’m relishing exclusive time with Saturday
