Saturday

Early morning dew.
Snapping the smiles and sunrise.
Beautiful light brand new
Enjoying laughter, curls and bright eyes.

It’s Saturday. My favorite day.
Let’s find a place that’s bright.
Ready, aim, fire away.
Capturing it all with touch, sound and sight.

Stand still, time, so I can enjoy
These moments I love repeating.
My growing little girl and boy
For whom my heart is beating.

Monday means meetings, inbox dings and telephone rings
Hours in a windowless room.
I long to hear the wind and birds sing.
Saturday, please come again soon.
