Sapphire In Fire

I have always seen
but never touched

It has always felt
yet never safe

I like it blue
if not violet

It swayed it's razed tail
just to and fro.

-off my shady sight
despite this light

It escaped and wails
into the submerged rays-

Today I found one
not like you

It's a dead one
shan't move

I tried holding
till time struck

It looks rocky
unlike your bleeding feathers.

A piece is missing
my heart is slipping

It's you I lost
though I never had

My dreams are hue
through me you fled

It's you in blue!
for you, my heart bleeds

even when blinded
and I couldn't see.

It's wounded and voided
only you it needs

to relish.
Heal a sapphire heart

it's me we need
heal a sapphire heart
