Santorini
One day I saw this picture
Of Santorini, Greece
A place in which I'd never been
A place to find some peace
I dreamed there'd be a day go by
For travel to this place
To feel the ocean calm and breeze
To treasure all its grace
But here I am, a bit older now
And very much at home
I travel to my favorite places
In dreams I call my own
I paint the places never seen
I paint the ocean blue
Imagining a beautiful place
I'd love to travel with you
Until that time I'll take you there
On canvas and a brush
A stroke of dreams and color too
To while away the rush
So look upon my painting
With dreams of places far
Places been and memories
Of life outside your car
But if you're ever stuck at home
With nowhere far to go
Let a painting tell your story
Or take the time to sew
For we can go most anywhere
a journey from the start
where peace resides and sunny days
like the color in my art.
