Santa?

As dreams pass by, while the child does sleep
I quickly walk past and dare not make a peep.
With sack on my shoulder, packed with new things
No one will know what tomorrow morning brings.
The look on their faces when they rub their eyes
Will confirm my completion, one big surprise.

As dawn approaches and darkness fades away
I hurry through the job, for fearing the day.
If I get caught by any one person, at any time
They’d call 9-1-1 and I’d pay for the crime.
For this thief in the night is around while you sleep.
No, I’m not Santa Claus; I’m just a big creep.
