Sans-Serendipity

Normality is what I seek but the
world revolves in its sans-serendipity.
So many extra days thrown in, you see
the world on its own course, no one takes pity.

I enter boredom in another world.
I’m not in control of anything real.
But the the dog warms up my feet, unfurled;
my heart wanes of anxiety, and I’m healed.

Kim, well, I believe that there is some serendipity in life. I think mostly you are where God wants you to be if you are His child even if you have totally messed up your life. He can use the place you find yourself to His benefit if we will only let Him. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. Sara K

Indeed, Kim, the world is in great trouble. I don’t mean overseas I do mean here. I know what you mean about an animal being a source of comfort. It seems we all hide our head in the sand and I don’t mean you or me!you or me, but the whole world just avoiding destruction that’s going to happen. And we pretend it’s just a lovely day. No it isn’t.. but who has the courage to write about that? God help us in 2024! Pangie

Thank you so much for your comment. We accept comfort, yet we do not hide our head in the sand.

Ahh, I can resonate with this deeply moving write dear Kim.. Dogs truly have a spiritual language, I believe.. They can be our healers in the darkest times and also, they are one of the most beautiful living visions of kindness and loyalty.. Their love is unconditional.. I truly loved reading this poem, so beautifully crafted :)
