I'd love to just be with you
An oft recurring theme
But what I mean is ever since
I had that vivid dream
My heart was captivated
Captured and content
And even though it was a dream
My real heart did assent
Without you I'd be lonely
Wandering roads and paths alone
I love our camaraderie
And talking on the phone
I've met so many people
Throughout all of my years
Most of them have come and gone
Our lives took different steers
But you my dear are different
I knew since early on
That no one else was like you
When thoughts wouldn't be gone
And once the dreams then started
The beginning saw the end
With hopes of us forever
Much closer than just friends
