Sandwich

Sandwich We are meat We are cheese We are trapped inbetween Undesirable carbs Of dementia and teen We want to be tasty Be nutritionally good But I'd revise this recipe If I thought that we could A drizzle more patience Add some grace, just a dash Lavishly labour with love Quite a splash When it's all finished And the recipe's done We'll be pausing desserts For some restoration Jinjagoliath 1st April 2023

My head is spinning with sulphites, blocked arteries, swollen stomachs... Swap the bread for lettuce or cucumber! Make sushi instead - no! White rice isn't safe... With poems like this maybe I will chase down the politicians who wanted to ban meal deals and tell them they were right :)

It's an odd line for me.. I have not eaten meat for many years, so it speaks of something (personally and metaphorically) unpalatable. I love a half a good half snooze!

Haha I'm half snoozing with the dog so checked out new poems. Unfortunately I did have an afternoon tea earlier but no meat.

You make a serious point.. with a sense of humour as always.. and very quick off the mark I might add ;-)
