Sands of Time Pass

I stood in the middle and stretched my hands out wide..
I touched the shiny walls that kept me far away and inside..
Fragments from the sky trickled down my shoulders to the ground..
I talked so low to a shout but nothing seemed to make a sound..
As the sky kept up its rain, I saw I was standing alone in glass..
The sprinkles of life that came down was sand from time that passed..
In a hour glass I stood and hoped that this was a dream I could stop..
I raised my hands up so high to keep the sands on the top..
When I woke I sat and thought of life and began to realize..
That life will pass and dreams will die if you walk with closed eyes..
