Sands of Time

Sands of time slip through the glass
An existence with a million moments drift past

Each grain a lifetime of pain and despair
While others spread joy and hope we can share

A place where past, present and future collide
Gone in an instant, yet oh what a wonderful ride

The seasons pass by alarmingly fast; a deadline comes due
Buckle up, the time has come for chaos to ensue

There is a beginning, is there truly an end
The path forges up and down, with a twist and a bend

Questions hang like the infinite stars from above
Answers will elude, until time gives that little shove
