Sand Castles
all of the sand castles
I built while on the beach
with granules of sand
and water from the sea
standing back I view my masterpiece
castle walls built high with hope
and surrounding this delicate structure
love overflows in the deep moat
it doesn't last an hour
'fore the wind has swept it clean
blowing into the ocean
all of my hopes and dreams
I start it all once again
packing harder to make it stand
I am always rebuilding
the wind won't do me in
