Sanctuary

The love of Man, the love of God
are practised here; there is a quiet,
not just a lack of clamor, that is sacred.
It is a safe place to reflect upon
the blessings of your life, a still-point
in a world of stark uncertainty, and when
everything seems lost it is your home.

A serene place of love and comfort. This could be a house, a church, or a place of gathering with family... I choose to read this as the marriage between two people joined in love and harmony as they seek serenity in their partner. Beautifully written, leaving the interpretation to the individual reader. This is a lovely, thoughtful reflection on the comfort we feel in our homes. Indeed, it provides a sanctuary whenever one is needed. Very, very nice!

A lovely piece, Keith! So true, this place feels like a comfort zone, where one may shut out the clamor, and chaos of "uncertainty". This sounds restive and peaceful. Wishing you the best! Love, Mikki
