San Francisco God and Goddess

San Francisco God and Goddess

The softness of your lips, have never
left mine.
Strolling the sweet, confectionary San Francisco streets.
The all knowing stars to us, whispered,
"For now and forever, she is all thine!"
Suddenly, mystical rainbow bubbles came from nowhere.

Our souls rose with them, most joyfully!
Headed for celestial planets!
You and I, your lovely Isis.
You my most torrid lover, Osiris.
With my plentiful, long hair, Isis, I,
Creating a total veil concealing our lovemaking.
Thus, a child is created so utterly and phenomenally, breathtaking!

I like how you change the rhyme scheme between verse one and two. I tried this and got nailed for it but I love how it makes it two little poems within one. The imagery here is wonderful. I am with you on the streets of SF and then back before, and at the time of Christ, with Isis and Osiris. Love the conclusion. Nicely done.

Hello Edlynn, Welcome to my cottage on Soup Street, Comments really keep me going when I doubt myself, Like every two minutes,so a BIG thank you from me, Don't let people nail you for anything. ee Cummings broke all the rules and became famous. I really was unaware of the scheme changes.. I write from my heart and try to hear the poem, Musically. I am not good at form. Too restrictive like days of old. Hope to read some of your poetry. Love, Panagiota Panagiota

Wow. That's insane. I've never spent remotely that long on a poem. I think the most time it's taken me is about an hour. But I do suppose that effort is reflected in the end!

Dont tell anyone! This was two months in the making, the first four lines were there. But the last four took forever to find. I went back each day, trying for the right words. Glad you liked it,,,I do! Panagiota. Thank you
