Samsara

Why must all things suffer so
Oh how I would like to know
Why are we given life
Only to suffer hunger thirst and strife
Fairness is a thing of fiction
Given greed corruption affliction
We are not created equal
Some are victims some are lethal
Some require everything
Some settle for anything
Luxury enjoyed by some
Others fight for any crumb
Deprivation hate starvation
Conditions plaguing every nation
Spoken of but no solution
Only procrastination and delusion
Why must all things suffer so
Ask a Buddhist
He will know

I don't know if anyone including Buddhist why some things happen but it usually all works out even though we can't see it when we are in the middle of it..Thanks for stopping by..I appreciate you reading and taking time to comment on my work..Sara

Well written Howard, liked both the couplet style and flow, but mostly the theme. Buddhism I think is more about acceptance and spiritual development or so they say. But if you ever get a chance to read Buddhist writings on their pergutory i suggest you give it a miss! I did from a temple in Malaysia and it is horrific.... Ivor
