Same Spot
I had a stroke of Genius,
In a brief, moment of peace.
But then I lost it,
I've searched tirelessly since, I'm exhausted.
I went to visit where it happened yesterday to see if lightning strike twice,
But the moment had passed away.
Well, I guess that there,
Is just what a moment does, it comes and then it passes,
It's what it was and it's done.
It's gone,
It's over, and you'll never see that thought again,
It's the same thing with people, like,
Family, Lovers, and Friends.
You can smell yourself but can they smell you?
It depends.
How long before they catch a whiff? Just how long can you censor it?
Before they've noticed the differences?
In your attitude,
Changes in your behavior.
The questions you can't answer.
They know that you're not the same person.
So everyday,
You continue with the same hurt,
But you can turn cancer to great work.
