It's just the difference between the British and US spellings in the words you mention in the first two verses, Nigel. But how right you are about the "kiss." Universal language here. Really like this poem!! Best wishes, Carolyn

ah, i see. . . very true a kiss is still a kiss wrether it means something to them or not, last line was preety cool, and very understandable
