Salve

I cover my wounds with a soothing salve
That lessens the pain in its testing path
But it will not take the wound away
For it may heal over to a scar in its way

You may rejoice in passing through
A trial in what it does to you
Heed not the trial as it is made
But what is learnt in each escapade.
