Salvation

When we gather with the saved over on that lovely shore, We will be with Him in glory and rejoicing ever more. No more pain, no sorrow, no tears will ever fall No harsh words, no unkindness, no heartaches at all. For us He came to live on this cruel earth for a time. He walked among sinners, changed the water into wine. He healed the sick and brought His friend to life again. He trusted those who denied Him and sold Him to men. He was unfairly tried and for punishment He had to die. They hung Him on a cross, but before death, he gave a sigh. “Father, please forgive them, they know not what they do.” His dying meant salvation for sinners like me and you. How happy they must have been when on that third day, He arose from the grave, overcoming death that way. He returned to live with the Father and to reign on high. I want to be there with Him, there never more to die. Free will to us was given, our choice it is to make, The path to destruction or to heaven, we can take. He covers us with His grace and by faith I do believe, That the blessings of heaven are mine to receive.
