Salvation

Why do we fight to stay alive
This unconscious act onward we strive

Faced with death we fight
Out of fear and fright

Having prayed each and every day
To be with God in every way

But when it comes time
Its so unfair a mortal crime

Its not my time we scream
Thinking up and escape scheme

Into the mirror we see the terror in our eye
Why me the pathetic cry

So if you have this one more day
Make some use and earn your pay

All the money and material things
Can't buy what salvation brings
