Salome's Fire
She is no more a child
Look at her in the middle of the wild
Look beyond her and above her and fancy her style
She poses and all seems mild
But she has a fire, her bodyguard always escorting her
even the forbidden fruits add to the stir
It's the temptations, but her pain have learnt to whir
Beyond her, above her in beautiful scars
The deep oranges and the deep yellows
Of a child stolen so early echoes
In deep, in tune with the jungle's tempo
Saluting the woman she has become, a calm glow
