Sail

Joe Bonamassa sang many uplifting Blues song like “Drive” that he performed At Carnegie Hall on an acoustic evening in 2017 Striking deeper level of understanding in many. My inspiration came from this song For the lyric “Sail ” that flows as follows. . . . . . . . . . . . . Darling, you’re feeling so gloomy I’m sinking in depression Come, let’s go to the sea For some joyful action And let’s sail Across the wave line, in the moonshine Let’s float Let’s hear the music of the blue sea From our agony we’ll be free And sail My heart has been pulsating With yearning So fast I have been running I’m at rest now for you’re with me Let’s sail Across the wave line, in the moonshine Let’s float Let’s hear the music of the blue sea From our agony we’ll be free Let’s sail Let’s sail Far away from the shore The land I don’t see near Even though the boat is rocking I feel no fear Let’s sail Across the wave line, in the moonshine Let’s float Let’s hear the music of the blue sea From our agony we’ll be free Let’s sail Let’s sail ___________ May 18, 2023 Contest : Joe Bonamassa Inspiration 5 Sponsored by : Robert James Liguori
