Safe To Look?

Tell me when it’s over
Tell me when it’s done
Tell me when it’s safe to look
To see what I’ve become

Tell me you will be there
When I open up my eyes
To be my strength and power
To be my loyal guide

I cannot face the future
I cannot live in the past
I cannot survive the present
I simply cannot last

Caught in this confusion
Never knowing which road’s right
For whichever turn I make
It always feels so tight

The decisions? They get bigger
The answers? Needed faster
The trials of survival?
I doubt I’ll ever master

There’s a need for being wild
There’s a need for being free
There’s a need for being loved
And a need for being me

But who this person is
Even I am not quite sure
She just keeps getting less
Though she keeps on needing more

I keep on starting over
Everyday, when I awake
But then come the early evening
I always start to break
