Sad Insanity

the eye remembers
bright shadows of dying suns
invisible light

wild spring lust faded
satiated summer sleep
restless autumn dreams

there will be winter
endless overwhelming night
inevitable

knowledge of the tides
may save the soul from drowning
sad insanity
