Sad Eyes Smile

I think while I listen, to the people around
I watch the snow fall on to the ground
my blue eyes tear and well with grief
being alone is my souls thief

I feel much older than my age
life is more than just a stage
it's a test of will and gait
you must learn how not to hate

separated from your lives
your mere words cut like knives
my sad eyes smile at your embrace
my sad eyes trapped within my face.
