Sad Dizain
We drove down the lushy serene hill side
cherishing the cool drive through shaded woods
with cascading waterfalls alongside
Intoxication by fresh pinewoods
made us stop to breathe in the misty woods
A decade later this paradise bled
horrendously naked in rocky bed
Under the dusky sky stood the outline
of a dark bare tree with its ribs outspread
A forest fire had scorched out all pine
