Sad Dizain

So sweet was Hope. Not one soul would she harm.
And now in college, living on her own,
she’d met a young man with good looks and charm.
One night she failed to answer her cell phone.
Was she with somebody or all alone?

The guy she’d met called friends and made a plan
to search for her. For days they all would fan
out through the woods and city. Where was Hope?
Police could find no clues; meanwhile the man
cleaned out his van and trashed his knives and rope.

Have you been watching too many crime shows? :) Sadly this isn't just fiction. Peace.

Terribly sad, Andrea. It's a cruel world with predators everywhere to prey on innocent lives. Congrats on your win. ~karam~

Not merely sad, but downright tragic ... it's sick what some people will do. The frankness of your words make for a heart-wrenching read.

Hi Andrea, You have penned a good piece. As I began to read it instantly put me in the mind of dateline ID or one of those shows. You captured the of pure evil very well. That man knows where she is. Excellent job. A undeniable 7- Alexis

Exactly why I was so over protective while my kids were growing up Andrea. You just can't be too careful. Your poem was dark and gave me chills! #7. ;)

Not exactly a happy tale. Please take a look at my latest - it is not too cheerful either - but it means something to me. Peace & Love Matthew Ansih

A horror Andrea. We hear about kids, away at college, getting murdered all too often. That is a fear many parents have when sending their kids off.
