Sacrifices Daily

Sacrifices daily, leave you less and less, Pressure all around you , taken breath by breath, Pieces of a puzzle, slowly put together, Pieces of a puzzle, to be lost forever. Dreams of frolicking in the sand, Discarded like a beaten hand. Sands of time have placed you here, A land of lonely broken fear, An enveloping pool of shattered tears, Created gradually over years and years. Keep present the ones that mean the most, In the end, we'll make a toast, To celebrate the times we've had, Whether good, or mildly bad, At least will have each others will, When the sands of time stand still.
