Sacrifice and Die
We leave behind the trampled souls,
Leave the land to bury its own.
Our prayers go out to all who gave,
Their lives so precious to those they saved.
Much unrest today.
Was there always so much hate?
Is it the population growth?
That makes it appear much more dismay?
Is it unrest that makes it appear?
To show such detest of life to fear?
I catch a glimpse of those who died,
So I may live a safer life.
Worn uniforms show wounds and wear,
Their life was drained so mine was spared.
How can we repay those who died?
When we selfishly fail to live with pride.
Repaying those sacrificed lives,
Stand up for what is right!
Give respect and thanks,
For the soldiers who died.
