Sacrifice

Sacrifice By: Tom Wright 2/4/03 A war in Iraq soon we may see rage, As we reflect is the apocalypse growing nigh? In history we advance toward our last page, While bent in prayer, few eyes remain dry. For sons and daughters we'll lament, Praying for men and women who gallantly serve. Each volunteered, for country, to do their stint, Lord, grant America mercy, not what we deserve. During prior times in history a way of life was saved, By the sacrifice of others, crimson flood. That, liberty oft taken for granted, not be enslaved, It's inauguration, at the cross, with Jesus' precious blood.
