Sacrifice
SACRIFICE
The thin line is diffuse between these two,
Imposed duty and concerned sacrifice.
If a mother tells her children it is for you
That I had quit my well-paid jobs twice
They would wonder what she actually did
Would think without being somewhat candid
She performed mother’s role paying a price.
A soldier dies fighting a battle for our sake
Losing his life he makes the supreme sacrifice.
They say on duty his job he can’t forsake
For his family erasing the thin line won’t suffice
His life is more precious to them than just a cause.
Assigned task of a soldier can’t deride lost life because
Nobody can evaluate or pay the price of sacrifice.
