Rush of Rapture
Here I am, can’t you see?
Don’t you remember?
Maybe not, I’m hiding under a tree
As the rain pours through silky leaves
Maybe, I’m not quite the same
As today, history weaves…
Through memories of time and miles
I rest against the bark
Looking for raindrops reflecting smiles
Don’t forget the river that took our souls afloat
On a blissful ride away from shore
With our world secure in that boat
Remember now? Here in patience I quietly sit
Listening for words, in fallen rain
Eternal thoughts speak, for love will never quit
The river flows on, with my life to the sea
By surprise we meet, in a rush of rapture
Once again, to ride the waves that be
