Running

Running down the long, curvy, hilly road The monsters closing in behind My legs struggling to carry the load I can't run far enough to escape my mind The monsters slobbering, growling, running like dogs Constantly chasing, always gaining ground I lift my legs to escape the bog Yet they catch me without a sound I know I must fight these things, Shadows attempt to overwhelm me These are the beasts that bring down kings So I'll make another attempt to flee
