My dear sweet poetess, The entry I just read came from the pen of a talented writer, whether you claim it or not. None of us reach perfection, though it may be our goal. I learned it was best for me to reach beyond my self imposed limits and let it happen. I've been writing for many years and still don't know a whatever from a whichever. You will know when they sound right. As for the theme of your poem I can tell you that 57 years ago, My wife felt the same way -read "A Rose That Never fades.

Me as well, I have not been educated as a poet but am learning as I go along. I think it is our spirit that determines if we are a poet not wether or not we follow a certain set of rules. Our ability to express our emotions is of much greater consequence.

Bonsoir Richard, Thank you so much for viewing my writes and your encouraging comments. I appreciate it, however; I'm not sure if I am a poet yet. I'm not educated at all in poetry or creative writing at all, I don't even know what the meanings are to the list of different forms of poetry, and don't even know what form of poetry I am writing..LOL and when reading others writes here on Poetry Soup, I question myself. My writes come from feelings and/or a certain word or expression and I build on it. Are you of French decent, your name is French I believe as is mine.

Thank you Doris for viewing my writes & for the compliments. I have been writing since I was a youngster. Writing my feelings, thoughts, observations, experience of myself or others, even a word or phrase I may hear may trigger me to write, like clay to a sculptor. However, not really sure if it's poetry. I have many writes that I would call lyrics. Wish I knew how to get them into songs.
