Royston High School

We’re coming to the end of an era
We’re coming to the end of the line
So many years off success
Now the bell will ring one last time

A school that goes down in history
So many years of success
Always so high in the tables
Always felt we were the best.

The staff were one in a million
Each member so eager to get
Only the best from their students
The greatest workforce I’ve met

A school of sheer determination
Just courage and pride all around
A place for the best education
The greatest results ever found

Speaking from a student’s perspective
It always felt so strange to leave
But now the school faces closure
I find it so hard not to grieve

The happiest years of my life
Were spent between those walls
The place supported my every need
Helped me through each rise and fall
