Notes About The Poem

The Electromagnetic Spectrum:
R-Red, shortest frequency wave length (WL)
O-Orange, next shortest frequency WL
Y-Yellow, next shortest frequency WL
G-Green, the middle frequency  WL
B-Blue – third to the highest frequency WL
I-Indigo, second to the highest frequency WL
Violet – highest wave frequency WL

Roygbiv, Roygbiv, Roygbiv, I Love You Roygbiv

RoyGBiv, RoyGBiv, RoyGBiv, I love you RoyGBiv with my might
You have to do with rainbows, wave length frequency and light
Electromagnetic Wave Prism Experiment gave us many a clue...
We can credit Isaac Newton, a scientist whose credentials are overdue.

RoyGBiv, RoyGBiv, RoyGBiv, I admire you RoyGBiv, I truly really do!
Relationship between wave length and frequency are ultimately true.
Gamma-Ray, X-Ray, Ultraviolet Ray Too. They are all famous now
Thanks to the likes of you! Even those short stubby radio waves. Wow!

If you are interested in experimenting, verifying some of this great stuff.
See website “Imagine the Universe”. Their lesson plans are not tough.
RoyGBiv, RoyGBiv, RoyGBiv, you show us light travels at one speed.
But diverse wavelengths and frequencies give us colors that we need.
