Royal Rumble

Bell rings
Two kings

Tap gloves
No love

Attack
Hard smack

Right hook
Well took

Left jab
Ribs stab

Backhand
Just lands

Sly one
Head spun

Elbows
Who knows

Eight round
Astounds

Heads clash
Blood splash

South paw
Breaks jaw

Crowd shout
Knockout

Countdown
Lost crown

Arm raised
God praised

To say this was punchy is beyond a pun. But that style is what it is. The meter and rhyme work so well along with this topic. Good to see you flex your poetic skill muscles on this one. I'm down for the count.

I got carried away in this one Jenna, but found it to be quite a powerful form for my boxing match poem, keep it tight then explode, cheers David

Good ones, David. I've found that they will generally always get you a placement in Strand's contests. Go for it!
