Rotten Egg
Rotten Egg
Your legs are small
Yet they run so fast
You passed me up
Like your foot was on the gas
~
I’m trying to keep up
But you’re so far a head
It’s as if my shoes
Are full of lead
~
Do you never get tired?
Does boredom never sit in?
As soon as I stop to rest
You’re ready to go again
~
Maybe someday you’ll grow up
And running will be your fame
But for now, if you will
Can we play another game?
~
See son, your daddy isn’t young
Actually he’s getting quite old
And you are wearing him out
No matter what you’ve been told
~
I see you laughing
Your pardon I beg
Race you to the house
Last one is a rotten egg
