Roots over Wires

Live free with nature beneath your feet,
and never taste retreat.

“You are free and I am not,”
he said unto thee.

“You are not far from being free.
I am free by the choices I have yet to decree
from a future I refuse to let be,
a path where roots outrun machinery.”

A choice to choose nature over technology.
