Roots of Love

Roots of Love I can smell it, I can hear it, I can feel it, I can see it and I have tasted it It is more than just a touch It is more than just a feeling It is more than just a smell It is more than just hearing it If it’s LOVE then I want to see it I am not impressed by fictions; I want to see the facts Words speaks of the mind while Actions speaks of the heart- Roots of Love: maybe my five senses cannot apprehend it I can smell it, I can hear it, I can feel it, I can see it and I have tasted it I am sorry, maybe I am just responding to the traditional ways of loving My father said, if you love her, buy her gifts, very indigenous Pardon me that your truth and my truth are often in contractions Acknowledged, that I have been taught by my primitive father- On what love is and how to express love- So I am habitually lost in lust as love What is your definition or roots of love? I just to love you the way you want you be loved And you just want you to love me the way I want to be loved Roots of Love: maybe my five senses cannot appreciate it I can smell it, I can hear it, I can feel it, I can see it and I have tasted it She gave sex but could not hear her heart beat He gave me gifts but could not see his heart beat She told me that our love was her life but could not feel it He spoke like a gentleman but smelled like vagabond This love, we spoke it without having it This love, we heard it without seeing it We drew pictures with hearts of love We read novels with the stories of love But many are still in the wildness wondering with wounds lost from love Roots of Love: maybe my five senses cannot approve it
