Roots
Darkness so much
Darkness troubles thee
Too many trees in the forest
Makes it so hard to see
Their leaves and their branches
They reach for the sky
To outgrow one another
They fight for dear life
The faster they grow
The more shallow their roots
The drive to be taller
Doesn’t bear fruit
So tend the soil
Water the earth
Patiently wait
Avoid all the hurt
Great things come
Time refines
A diamond isn’t created
Without pressure over time
The trees may be tall
A splendor to see
But take care of the roots
Life - It all starts with the seeds
