Rome, Ny (2003)

Rome, NY

Unto these schemes renew
The temper held in sway;
This time, listen, like the murmur
Of your heart; so tender,
So subtlety does it keep time with
The Universal notion:
If Angels cross the oceans,
if Devils soar the skies;
if solace seeps the surface,
How shall you travel?
Lightly,
I am told,
Nightly growing old,
Accept it.
