Romantically Outfoxed
He wears the face of an idealist
weaving songs of yesteryear into
an interwoven pattern of inconsolable hearts
He has the smarts of a fox and is quite foxier
in looks
yet, cannot find his match
as he is too quick for the catch
the hunter of love
yet broken by his own bows
he is in fact the hopeless romantic
chasing after what's not there
into greener pastures
Daring to settle for an okay and boring mate
Rushing swirls of fast oblivion
faster and faster time moves on
as boredom stands still
Caught-left to find excitement another way
if it were only the days left to stray
