Romancing Pain

"Abraham, you hurt me deeply, failed me, betrayed me, and made my heart weep. I thought I could trust, but you proved me wrong, Took me for granted, didn't care strong. But still, I forgive, not for you, but me, To heal my heart, set my soul free. I won't hold onto pain, won't retaliate, I'll rise above, don't need your hate. You changed me, made me see, Despite the hurt, I'll let go and be. I'll ignore the pain, forgive, and move on, Find myself, and a brand new dawn. Thanks for the lesson, though it was hard, You made me stronger, and my heart scarred. I'll use this pain to grow and learn, And find my way, and a brand new turn."
