Rolling Pontiac

Roll on, Potomac, roll on Roll on, Potomac, roll on, Your banks cradle history, where legends are drawn. From the heart of the nation, our dreams have been sown, So roll on, Potomac, roll on. In the shadow of monuments, the tall cherry trees, Whispers of freedom dance on the breeze. Washington’s vision, with courage he leads, Roll on, Potomac, roll on. The whispers of Congress, decisions unfold, The spirit of democracy, brave and bold. With Jefferson dreaming of futures untold, So roll on, Potomac, roll on. Through the echo of battles, where valor took flight, Voices of patriots' stand firm in the night. They fought for our rights, with honor and might, So roll on, Potomac, roll on. At Georgetown’s old docks, trade flows like a stream, The lifeblood of commerce, the pulse of a dream. Bringing together the hopes of a team, So roll on, Potomac, roll on. From the hills of Virginia to Maryland’s shore, The tales of our nation forever will soar. With unity forged, we strive for much more, So roll on, Potomac, roll on. These noble men toiled, their vision so clear, Building a capital that we hold so dear. Their legacy shines, as we gather here, So roll on, Potomac, roll on.
