Roller Coaster

Roller Coaster
By Kevin Robey
March 1, 2014

Roller coaster, roller coaster
Bringing me down, picking me up
Walking the line, taking me closer
A pill for truth, lets fill the cup

Drink it down I'll get around
To fantasies so far away
Feels just fine to hear that sound
The voices leave just for the day

I don't believe in meant-to-be's
It's better than I've ever known
Nothing left to recognize me
But there is nowhere left to go

Until this currency in me runs dry
This pill will buy some needed time
On borrowed days until I die
I'll steal today like it's a crime
