Rocking Chair
Sitting here in this dark silent home
Sometimes my mind starts to roam
Time has taking it's toll
With the punches I roll
The toss of the dice
Thinking times are nice
When they really suck
Your tail do you tuck
On you go
You never know
Where tommorow will come
Not as bad as some
Still carry enough of the light
To carry on this fight
But it gets hard
With a body so scared
Weighing you down
You try not to drown
In the thoughts of your mind
What do you find
Dreams from memories Lost and found
Some died without a sound
Getting lost to the past
Nothing ever last
Reach so high
You could almost fly
Least you did try
Peace soul of sadness
There somewhere ahead lies the gladness
Just have to seek
Chance a quick peek
Maybe time does heal
The weight you feel
Lighting your heavy load
Smooths your road
Just know you won't get anywhere near
If you just keep setting here
