Robot

Robot-like, I move through life, I feel no pain, endure no strife. Each day's the same, each smile is fake, broken, I no longer break. I live my lifetime in a daze, blindly fumble through a haze, I've never known a day of fun, I can't remember even one. All I do is work and sleep, and pray the Lord my soul to keep. ©Danielle White

I once remember feeling the exact same way. Thank God I'm not in that place anymore! Congratulations on placing in Sami's contest! It was well deserved!

Very sad and deeply depressing. This hurts me to read. Congrats on your win in Sami's contest. Powerful, well deserved. Love, Shar

Danielle, you capture well the feeling of "numbness" we must endure when we find no joy in life. Very profound and thought-provoking! Love, Carolyn

I think you just described myself. Depression is no fun at all, it takes away all you zest for life and yes, leaves you acting like a robot. A very good write Danielle
